So I received an amazing gift box from Nuance by Salma Hayek. I'm so very grateful and I'm giving a lucky reader the chance to score some goodies.
There are so many goodies in this box I couldn't possibly keep everything for myself. So I'm reviewing the pieces that I opened and the rest will be up for grabs.
I received two of the Nuance BB Creams, one in Light/Medium the other in Medium/Deep. I opened the Light/Medium so the Medium/Deep will be in the giveaway box.
I was worried how light this looked in the container but it's actually not too bad on the skin. The texture is phenomenal as well. It's more whipped and thick than most other BB creams on the market. The ingredients contain Dermaxyl a peptide complex that works to help smooth the appearance of wrinkles.
However I wouldn't classify this as a BB Cream per say. To me it's more of a tinted moisturizer because you have zero coverage when applied. Even building the product doesn't offer much of a difference. I do like the overall glow you have when you apply to your entire face but I break out badly and there was no hiding that. If you have oily skin like mine I suggest skipping the moisturizer underneath the BB Cream instead opt for a product that mattes the skin. I've read reviews of people using moisturizer under this product and feeling oilier throughout the day. I think that can definitely be avoided.
I received the Nuance Ageless Clarity White Clay Mask and I'm a sucker for any type of clay mask. It really helps with my acne.
For a clay mask I thought the consistency was rather creamy. Once I got over the consistency I applied a thin layer to my entire face. It felt great on the skin and didn't leave any chalky residue or leave my skin red after use.
This mask is the third step of the Ageless Clarity line and I believe it's worth buy as a stand-alone product. If you think clay masks are too heavy for your skin this is a great alternative that works really well.
I love how moisturizing this product is on my cuticles and lips. The smell is a real turn off it's unpleasant it could be from the mineral they use as an ingredient. I know there are many people who are completely against using mineral oil on the face so you have to consider that before purchasing.
The texture seems hard to use but if you leave your finger on the product is warms up and is very easy to apply on any of your dry areas including elbows and anywhere else. I love the packaging too, it is really elegant and looks great whenever I have it out.
