Thanks to Brandbacker and Redken I was able to score press samples of their new Color Rebel hair makeup. I always want to color my hair these insane cool colors but due to my day job at an investment bank I have to stick to more traditional hair color variations. I've always been interested in these temporary hair color options but unfortunately my dark hair doesn't really accept them. Needless to say I was super stoked to try out these colors but didn't really think they would work at all for me. Key benefits of the new Redken Color Rebel sticks are:
Being a little hesitant didn't stop me from grabbing that red (named Red-y to rock) and trying it out anyway. I figured I could try this out at night straight after work and if didn't work well I could just wash it out. So here is my hair before the color application:
I thought would work out well was the fact that my hair is ombre now so the color should really pop on the ends. This made me all the more excited. Here is my hair in the morning:
Do you see how good it looks!! I didn't really go over board with the applying the color, just in case I didn't like it. The color is phenomenal it lasted three full washes on me becoming just a bit more subtle after each wash. I do believe the color could be much more vibrant had a dared to apply more my first sitting. Not only are these an amazing product to use, they are perfect for people like me who want to change their color dramatically but can't do to other obligations. I can have my red, pink or purple hair all weekend long then come to work looking as "normal" as their require me too. The sponge tip applicator makes it extremely easy to use and constantly change to another color. This is by far one of the best hair color products I have used. I cannot wait for Redken to release more colors I need a blue and a green would be awesome. Has anyone else tried these amazing temporary hair colors? What do you think of them?
