For some time now I have been stalking ModishStyles on Instragram. A couple of weeks ago Valerie Lora, Modish Styles, uploaded some photos and swatches of her lip line called Lora Lips. I love the colors she showed off on Instagram so of course I had to place an order.
I think I should change the name of the blog to the lipstick addict but I am just drawn to beautiful colors. I had a very hard time decided on just four. Here is my Lora Lips haul:
I have never loved orange lipsticks on me, I tend to look very sickly, until I met Glam Tangerine it is a warmer color than other tangerines I have seen on the market so it works extremely well on my skin tone. I think of the color as orange rust than bright tangerine. It is a really nice pop of color to brighten these gloomy freezing temps in the NYC.
Of course I had to try the red one. You know how I have a thing for my red babies.
I know in the tube it looks to be this super bright red but it's more of muted than that. Reminds me of cherries to be honest.
and I needed the pink. I am always on the hunt for Barbie pinks that look well on my skin tone. It is a lot hard than you think finding a pink that works on me. Here I introduce you to a pink I'm growing very fond of:

I was adventurous when I picked up the orange and figured I would try something really different:
OK so it's not a huge difference to what I am usually wearing, I don't think I own any purple lipsticks. I'm glad I picked this one up. The color really works and it's subtle.
At the end of the day these products apply extremely well, the colors are very pigmented and they last at least 4 hours each depending on how much you are doing with your lips. At $10 a piece they are a steal; I would absolutely suggest picking one up and trying it for yourself. Has anyone else tried Lora Lips? What is your favorite color?
