On Tuesday July 28th at 9e/8c season nine of Face Off started! This is a competition/elimination series where special effects makeup artists participate in these amazing elaborate themed challenges for a huge grand prize and the honor of bring named Hollywood's next great effects artist.
The judges panel consists of the most famous people in the business, Glenn Hetrick and Ve Neill with Neville Page. Not only do they have the best of the best judging they have Mr. Michael Westmore as their mentor, his daughter MacKenzie Westmore is the very gorgeous and knowledgeable. Mackenzie brings with her this rich family history and a passion for the art of special effects make-up to her role as host of this popular show.
One of the greatest moments of my twitter history is having Mackenzie follow me. Ms. Westmore's family set the bar for film and television makeup. They pioneered the field I am hoping to break into. There is nothing cooler then having your idol acknowledge your existence. In addition to being part of a dynasty Ms. Westmore is now releasing her very own line of cosmetics!
Westmore’s family history in the art of special effects make-up allows her to bring a passion for this art and approach it with a knowledgeable perspective. Not only does she use her legacy in special effects makeup as the host of the show, but also placed it within her cosmetics line, Westmore Beauty (exclusively on QVC).

I am very interested in trying out her staple product, coming from a background like hers there is a high bar set for perfection.
