As part of the BrandBacker community I was given the opportunity to review BA Star Cosmetics Holo Glitter. I am completely in love with glitter so I have no problem adding to my massive glitter kingdom.
For those in the know BA Star products are geared towards cheerleaders, dancers and performers of all types. They are made to last through many different activities. I was very excited to try out the Holo Glitter. Just looking at the product in its cellophane wrapper caused me to drool just a little bit.
The glue seemed pretty generic at first glance and the applicator is a typical doe foot.
I was surprised by the formula of the glue. The product is not thick or goopy. The formulation is perfect when applying a thin layer which is very easy to do. There is a slight odor from the glue but it's not overbearing.
Don't you just love the color play of this product? It's just gorgeous. This product is ultra fine, can be used for just about anything, and is sweat resistant.
I'm not a fan of using brushes to apply loose glitter products. It can be beyond messy and it takes forever to get all the glitter out of the brush, and from the area your working in. Bottom line using a brush with glitter the entire process is just messy. Then I found this ingenious product in Sephora Flat Iron:

I was trying to find it on the website but I can't find it. I did find a similar applicator from E.L.F. while I cannot say it's equal to the Sephora one it's worth a shot at only $3. This is one of those tools that you didn't realize you needed it until you got it and now that you have it you can't imagine life without.
It worked so well with the BA Star Holo Glitter and Glue. It applies the glitter evenly, packing it right into the glue leaving less of a mess. I did have to deal with some glitter fall out but it was minimal and easily cleaned. After seeing the glitter applied I couldn't really focus on anything else but how gorgeous it looked on my skin tone.
The camera really doesn't capture how lovely this glitter is. It really pops and will definitely be a part of my birthday look this weekend.
