There are a ridiculous amount of BB Creams on the market, and I'm beyond over them. I have yet to find a BB cream that works for my skin color. Being Hispanic, even though on the light side, the BB creams that are currently on the market are just not made for me. I end up looking pale and sick so of course I wouldn't use them.
Then I received a sample of IMAN Cosmetics' New Skin Evener BB Créme that completely changed my perspective on the whole subject. Iman's BB Créme is specifically made for women that have color. It is available in 6 shades that compliment skin. There are three categories (called color families): Sand, Clay and Earth: the shades in the color family are: Sand Light (online), Sand Medium, Clay Medium, Clay Medium Deep, Earth Medium and Earth Deep. For shade comparison I am an NW30 and I chose Sand Medium.
I love that there is a yellow undertone to the Sand Medium shade so it matches my skin perfectly. It looks natural and flawless. I've received many compliments to the healthy glow it gives me. The added SPF15 bonus is perfect.
$20 is on the pricier side for a 1oz tube but it's well worth the price tag. You can't compare the color match and feel of this BB créme to others on the market, because those aren't made for woman who have some color in their skin. I will be buying this product again.
The coverage is a semi sheer tint that blends into the skin making the product undetectable. The texture is creamy and easy to apply, and the product dries to a nice satiny finish. The press release states you can use this daily either before or without foundation and it's ideal for all skin types. With the weather getting warmer I will use this product for those warm days where foundation is just too much to wear. It's great for work but the coverage is sheer so for going out I would prefer my foundation, but I would consider wearing it under my foundation but I would be a little worried the combination would be heavy on my skin. It's something to consider in place of primer though and I would give it a shot.
