Thanks to the amazing and wonderful people over at Vaseline I received a bottle of the new deep healing moisture serum called Intensive Care Healing Serum - Advanced Relief.  I was very excited to be chosen to review this new serum by Vaseline. As a makeup artist and beauty blogger my hands are very important to my success. Due to their constant exposure and use they are always extremely dry. Lotions give me some superficial relief but really do not address the underlying issue for my super dry hands.  According to the press release Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Healing Serums combine the power of three unique, highly concentrated ingredients to moisturize and heal dry skin.

  • PPAR Activators help penetrate the skin to replenish lipids and moisturize to boost the skin’s natural renewal cycle.
  • Elastomers provide a premium sensory experience with ingredients that deliver a luxurious silky, smooth feel.
  • Micro-droplets of Vaseline® Jelly form a protective layer to prevent moisture loss

When I received my package my first impression is the bottle is a very generous 6.8 fl oz. (200 ml) and only $7.99 SRP. Being that serums are the super concentrated versions of products the packaging is usually smaller. Having a large stand up tube is very generous of Vaseline to offer.

Another surprise is how light the formula is. I thought being this is formulated as a serum the texture would be thicker and creamier instead I'm delighted that the product is very light and easily absorbed. I love that the product does not sit on top of my skin. You must be certain to only use a small amount. I feel if you over do it you get this weird coated feeling wherever you applied to much product. This is a serum so it's meant to be used in small doses anything more is just over doing it.

Finally the scent is a bit strong for my taste, but I am pretty sensitive when it comes to product scents. I do appreciate the scent is on the cleaner side but it's far to heavy for me. I use the Intensive Care Healing Serum sparingly when I know it will be around my nose for extended periods of time. The scent lasts awhile so be prepared. The product contains notes of rose and amber, blended with the refined aroma of vanilla.

Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Healing Serum

Overall I am generally pleased with Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Serum - Advanced Relief. It absolutely calms my severely dried winter skin and cracked cuticles leaving me with softer hands and a softer body. The moisturized feeling lasts all day and I am seeing better results with continued use.

Have you tried Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Healing Serum? What are your thoughts?
