KISS InstaWave - $59.99
KISS InstaWave - $59.99

When it comes to makeup I am a fast learner and ahead of the curve, with my hair I'm all thumbs. My hair is either pin straight courtesy of a flat iron or full of waves thanks to lots of mouse and hair spray. Don't ask me to blow dry or braid or pin curl. When it comes to hair I have no idea what I am doing, but oh how I want to learn. I have dreamed of being able to create gorgeous curls and bouncy waves on my own. In the past five or so years there has been a surge of curl machines on the market. Clipped, clipless, and rotating. I have yet to find a machine that I know how to use. I have tried clipped ending up with little crimp marks on the ends of my hair. Once tried clip-less and I'm pretty sure I burned off that top of my ear. It hasn't been a pretty ride. I was not sure how to take the new KISS InstaWave it's a bit of a medieval looking contraption and I was pretty sure I would not be able to figure it out.

I promise she looks scarier on here then she does in person To explain how to use this new product properly I'm taking this video straight from their website:

The KISS InstaWave is a fully automatic tangle free curler that instantly creates some gorgeous bouncy curls as you can see in the video above. It is extremely easy for even myself to use with any hand.  The product also features a Curl Dial with left/right curl directions. There are two heat settings with a high/low switch and a maximum temperature of 420 degrees. KISS InstaWave even shuts off after 90 minutes of inactivity.

To Use:

1. Hold InstaWave vertically
2. Simply place section of hair on the InstaWave curling rod
3.Touch the Curl Dial either left or right, and the InstaWave instantly and automatically catches and curls the hair
4. Hold for 5-10 seconds, hold longer for tighter curls and less for beachy waves
5. Pull the InstaWave down vertically, letting hair out

**Tip: Switch between curling right and curling left to create the most natural looking curls

I will say when the machine first starts up it does give off a bit of a strange humming sound but it's just the "engine" warming up but it is not some outrageous noise as some other blogs have claimed it does. The process to curl your hair takes some getting used to as well, like a dunce I kept forgetting about the Curl Dial. I also have to remember to use larger pieces of hair inside the machine instead of the wimpy wisps I was using.

I really like the KISS InstaWave the more practice I have the better my curls look. The above video is the first time I've ever used the machine and I think that very first curl came out pretty sweet. Once I have a rhythm going you better watch out! Make sure you are following on Instagram to see the beautiful hairstyles I will be creating over the holidays with KISS InstaWave.  Thank you to KISS Products and Brandbacker for allowing me the opportunity to try out this pretty cool curl machine.

Have you tried the KISS InstaWave? What did you think?
