Scars are a part of life and mostly I could care less about them. They give me character but there are two scars that I have that bring back some painful memories. Those are the ones I want gone, especially this one:
It's a deep gash just under my thumb. I am sorry but I will not explain what happened to give me this scar just know that I want it out of my life.
I was thankful to receive samples of two products from ScarAway:
I don't have a scar long enough for the silicone sheets, but my husband does have a major scar on his stomach from surgery to remove a tumor from his stomach lining. He has graciously offered to test the scar sheets as the length is perfect for his long scar.
The sheets are a lot thinner than I expected them to be. They are really comfortable to wear and barely noticeable when on. The only issue with my husband is he's pretty hairy around his scar so he has to take off the sheet in the shower in order to remove them. He has been using them for a couple of days now and so far no irritation at the application site so that's awesome. Can't wait to see how this will look after a week or so.
For my scar I am using the Daily Discs, these are a pretty good size and cover more real estate than you think. They are comfortable to wear and my sensitive skin has had no issue while wearing them. It's only been a couple of days but I'm excited at the possibility of not having this annoying reminder on my hand anymore.
